What level of assistance does my work need?

Every piece of writing requires some form of editing but it can daunting trying to work out what level your writing needs.

At correctly, we focus on micro editing: the sentence level work that looks at each line and each word.

Copyediting is the improvement of your work. Looking at spelling, punctuation, formatting and grammar. Copyediting also tracks the consistency of your writing and flags ambiguous or factually incorrect statements. It can also improve the phrasing and organisation to make your writing more effective.

Proofreading is the final check to confirm that your writing is ready to be published. Proofreading picks up any missed errors with spelling, punctuation, grammar, consistency and formatting.
